In May 2015, Re:Sound, with the support of the Ontario Media Development Corporation, engaged Leger Research Intelligence Group to conduct a survey on how Canadians value music. The results showed that the majority of Canadians place a high value on music and want to hear music playing in the businesses they patronize. The survey also revealed that Canadians care about whether or not a business is using music legally and ethically.
